Pressure tapping construction operators often simply replace the hose without analyzing the cause of the fault, and the same fault will be repeated soon after use, which is finally attributed to the quality problem of high-pressure hose. In fact, the loosening or rupture of the high-pressure hose not only wastes hydraulic oil, pollutes the environment, but also affects work efficiency, and even accidents occur, endangering the safety of man-machine. Hose pipes for pipeline engineering machinery are divided into high-pressure hose and low-pressure hose. The high-pressure hose is braided with steel wire and wound hose, which is generally composed of 4 parts: outer rubber layer, steel wire reinforcement layer, middle rubber layer and inner rubber layer. The inner rubber layer is in direct contact with hydraulic oil and is generally made of synthetic rubber. The bearing capacity of the hose depends on the steel wire reinforcement layer, which is the skeleton of the hose, usually woven with steel wire and wound. High pressure and ultra-high pressure are mostly braided with multi-layer steel wire and wound skeleton. Low-pressure hose uses braided cotton and twine instead of braided steel wire, which is generally used for low-pressure oil return pipeline. The main reasons for the failure of the hose are: type of use error, improper installation and use, unreasonable system design and hose manufacturing unqualified.

1. Cracks on the outside of the hose: In cold environments, cracks on the outside of the hose will cause the hose to be bent. If the outer surface of the hose is found to be cracked, pay attention to observe whether the rubber inside the hose is cracked, and decide whether to replace the hose immediately. Therefore, in the cold environment, do not move the hose or dismantle the hydraulic system, if necessary, should be carried out indoors. If you need to work in a cold environment for a long time, you should replace the cold-resistant hose.

2. Bubbling on the outside of the hose: Bubbling on the outside of the hose is due to the unqualified quality of the hose or improper use. If bubbling occurs in the middle of the hose, it is mostly a quality problem in the production of the hose, and a qualified hose should be replaced in time; if bubbling occurs at the joint of the hose, it is likely to be caused by improper joint installation. There are two types of steel wire braided and wound hose joints and hose connecting ends: detachable and buckling type. The detachable joint jacket and joint core have hexagonal shapes. The outer wall of the joint core is conical, which is convenient for disassembly and assembly of the hose. After the joint core is connected with the nut, insert the steel wire to prevent loosening. The buckle type hose joint consists of the joint outer sleeve and the joint core. During assembly, the outer rubber layer shall be peeled off, the joint core head shall be set, the joint outer sleeve shall be tightened, and then the special equipment shall be buckled with a mold to make the hose get a certain compression amount to achieve tight connection.

A large amount of oil leaked from the hose but no rupture was found. The reason is that when the high-pressure liquid flow passed through the hose, the inner rubber was eroded and scratched, until a large area of steel wire layer leaked out, resulting in a large amount of oil leakage.

4. The outer rubber layer of high-pressure rubber hose is seriously deteriorated, and the surface is slightly cracked, which is a manifestation of natural aging of the hose. Due to aging deterioration, the outer layer is continuously oxidized to cover its surface with a layer of ozone, which will thicken with time. As long as the hose is slightly bent during use, it will produce tiny cracks. In this case, the hose should be replaced.

1. The inner rubber layer of high pressure hose is hard and has cracks: the main reason is that the hose is flexible and plastic due to the addition of plasticizer in rubber products. However, overheating of the hose can cause the plasticizer to overflow.
